Dr. Carla Podgurecki, known to her patients simply as Dr. Pod, is a physician board certified in Family Medicine, Obesity Medicine, and Lifestyle Medicine. She is also a Menopause Society certified practitioner. She completed her undergraduate studies at Texas State University, where she majored in Spanish. She did her residency in Family Medicine at Hofstra–North Shore LIJ (now Northwell Health) in New York.


Originally from Canada, she now keeps her boots firmly planted in Texas. Outside the exam room, she’s a bonus mama to 4 boys and married to a motorcycle-riding, pickleball-loving husband. Her feline coworkers—two curious cats—often make surprise appearances during video visits. Dr. Pod finds joy in white-water rafting, skiing, playing piano, and exploring the world through travel.
